I’ve loved puppet animation ever since I saw the pipe-cleaner folk in the much-missed Oliver Postgate’s Pogles’ Wood. Now we’ve got Wallace and Gromit and Tim Burton, but, no matter how sophisticated the animation gets, there’s nothing to beat making three-dimensional puppets come to shaky life.
